Dart Lure BookPortable Lure StorageThis piece of kit goes a long way to solving the roving lure angler's perennial problem - lure storage, the problem with boxes is that they are heavy and rigid, and most of the space inside is taken up by air. It is a zip-up bag containing 5 pages of durable polythene foam that lures are simply hooked into, the pages are separated by plastic sheets that prevent tangling. It comes in two sizes, standard: 343mm x 292mm x 101mm, and magnum: 394mm x 343mm x 140mm.
The zippers and bag are still in good condition 6 years later but the pages need replacing occasionally, which seems fair enough considering the wear they are subjected to. With the biggest lures and very big hooks the plastic divider sheets do get cut quite easily, I've solved this by replacing the orignals with some thick plastic sheet (I found some cheap plastic place mats in a 'Pound shop'). I bought one of the smaller size and have used it on well over a hundred trips. Using mainly medium-sized and large plugs I found the bag too full to close until I removed
one of the pages. I now manage to fit in about 25 plugs of the sizes I use regularly, plenty for a known venue. I also bought one of the magnum versions, I managed to fit in 52 plugs of between between 5 and 9" long.
